B N Jewellers is an old and trusted jewellery house with its origins in Jambusar. Pulin Chokshi set up the Vadodara branch in 1995, with a vision to expand the business beyond the family horizons. Chokshi was always fascinated by the family owned business and was baptised into the trade fairly early, at the age of 18.The firm specialises in exquisite studded jewellery (also known as kundan or jadau), traditional gold and contemporary diamond jewellery with a special focus on wedding and bridal jewellery.
B N Jewellers' roots are deeply embedded in tradition. The ornaments on display are designed to suit the modern Indian woman's taste for classic-yet-today ornaments. The store prides itself on its collection of traditional Gujarati, Rajasthani and antiquated jewellery. Chokshi pays minute attention to the details of the jewellery and personally selects all the jewels, handcrafted to perfection.
Select from a wide array of necklaces, earrings, bangles, bracelets, pendants. The designs have a timeless appeal, with emphasis on colours evident from the generous use of precious stones embedded in the ornaments. A far cry from the over-the-top simply 'yellow' designs that flood the stores, each ornament here is sourced and created to reflect their motto of 'understated elegance'. The store puts a high premium on quality and customer satisfaction.
Bridal and wedding related jewellery is a vital part B N Jeweller's portfolio. As Chokshi says, "With the trend of custom-made clothing, accessories and ambience for each event associated with the wedding, the jewellery selection process remains surprisingly conventional and un-innovative. We are trying to change that. We offer clients a wide range of designs to create bespoke pieces for each and every occasion that dots their wedding ceremonies." For instance, a bride who wanted something 'blue-ish' to go with her Indo-western apparel for the Sangeet evening, was finally thrilled to get a bespoke opal set in white-gold that went along perfectly with her choice of clothes and ambience. "Buyers have wider options now with the huge possibilities of various metal combinations and precious stone choices, not to mention the Internet," he says.
At B N Jewellers, the mission is to create a global brand and universal presence. B N Jewellers also exports jewellery overseas. The firm has a loyal clientele across the continents and it also undertakes an annual diamond jewellery tour in the UK and the US as part of its exports initiative. The tour is conducted in the months of June through September, where a series of retail shows are conducted for select groups of customers at pre-decided venues. B N Jewellers is interested in liaising with local entrepreneurs, jewellers and hosts to conduct the retail shows during the tour.
